Minneapolis Washburn Millers

Levels Offered: Varsity, Junior Varsity, 9th Grade

Practice Site: Washburn High School, Main Gym

Eligibility Requirements: Grades 9-12 must meet MSHSL and WHS eligibility requirements. All athletes must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 for the Washburn Girls' program

Other Information: This is a competitive and selective girls' basketball program. Therefore, it is required that all interested participants be compeltely registered with participation fees paid, a current physical on file, and make arrangements to be available at all try-outs and practices.

Season Overview

The Millers Girls' basketball team was very young and inexperienced crew last season which bolstered a conference high roster of 32 players.  Of those 32 players there were 17 were freshmen and 1 eighth grader and at least 10 clocked varsity minutes for the Lady Millers.  With a year of experience under their belts and the likes of Shanice Sullivan anchoring our Varsity Squad, our staff is confident there will be a definite shift in power in the Minneapolis City Conference this season and in the coming years.
