Season Overview

The Millers Boys' team are coming off a season where all the players were inexperience in Varsity play led to a record of 12-14. With such a young team, they were stil able to advance to the section semi-finals where they tasted defeat by the hands of Holy Angels. But this season brings new excitement because all the boys are back and have played significant varsity minutes and are raring to get into the competition. This season they will be challenged as they prepare to play tough, nonconference opponents, such as Eden Prairie in the season opener, Shakopee in the Breakdown Shootout, Lakeville North from the strong Lake Conference, and Columbia Heights who was ranked in the top ten all last season for class AAA schools. They will be led by all-conference guards, Dwight Anderson a junior and Clarence Thomas a senior. Coach Perkins believes that will all the experience and talent at each position his team has a chance to be very good. Others helping to lead the Miller attack this season will be senior forward Cedric Chappell, sophomore guard Nick anderson and junior forward Joseph Doby.
